What we collect
When you sign up we collect your first and last name, email address, mobile number, ZIP code and the research area you pick. As a record of your consent we also keep the time you sent the form, the page it was sent from, your IP address and your browser type.
We never ask for medical records, insurance details or a diagnosis. Please do not send us health information beyond the area you choose.
How we use it
We use your information to look for studies near you in your chosen area, to tell you about them by text or email, to answer you when you contact us, and to keep evidence of your consent. It is not used for anything else.
Your mobile number and text consent
Your mobile information will not be shared with any third party for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Reply STOP to any message to stop texts. Everything else about our texts is in the SMS terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your sign-up for as long as you want match alerts. When you ask us to close it, we delete your details within thirty days, except for the record of your consent and your opt-out, which we keep for as long as we may be required to produce them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by email or phone, and we will respond within thirty days. If you live in a state that gives you further rights, we will honor them.
Security
Information you send us travels encrypted and is stored on servers with restricted access. Since no system is ever completely secure, we keep only the details that matching depends on.
Children
Match alerts are for adults only, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Any study that includes children is arranged directly between a parent or guardian and the study team.
Updates to this policy
If this policy changes, the date above will change with it. If a change affects information you have already given us, we will tell you before it applies.
